libhdf5-openmpi-dev software package provides Hierarchical Data Format 5 (HDF5) - development files - OpenMPI version, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libhdf5-openmpi-dev
libhdf5-openmpi-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libhdf5-openmpi-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libhdf5-openmpi-dev *
You will get with libhdf5-openmpi-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
